Baton Rouge, Louisiana – July 12, 2012 – WorldConnect IPTV Solutions along with its technical services partner Vision247 have launched SonLife Broadcasting Network (SBN) on Freeview HD, an Internet Protocol TV (IPTV) broadcast service.

Freeview HD uses IPTV technology, which allows for faster channel growth and the inclusion of new and redefined services such as live TV over the Internet, video on demand and interactive TV.  As stated on its website, Freeview is managed by DTV Services, a company owned and run by five shareholders: BBC, BSkyB, Channel 4, ITV and Arqiva. Launched in October 2002, the Freeview service provides free-to-air digital TV channels, radio stations and interactive services through an aerial.

SBN, a division of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries (JSM), creates a variety of content out of SBN’s TV production studios and JSM’s Family Worship Center located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA. SBN has a dedicated viewer base and continues to grow exponentially; its current potential audience consists of over 100 million households worldwide.

Dr. Jarrett Flood, CEO of WorldConnect, collaborated with Vision247’s CEO John Mills to launch SBN.

SBN’s content is available on Freeview HD Channel 113 using a compatible Internet-connected set top box under the category Christian TV.
